After spending over a decade in the event industry, we noticed that there weren’t many innovative photo booth options out there. The same flat backdrops, cheap plastic props, and uninspired designs left corporate planners and brands without any truly creative options.

We set out to change that. We’ve built an experience that transports guests back in time into the colorful quirky world of a vintage photo studio session.

The Inspiration

Our founder, Olivia, based the idea for our business off of her project Drawing Retro People, on Instagram which was inspired by a 90s yearbook she’d found in a thrift shop. She would sketch people from the yearbook and added a song that matched their vibe… and the videos went viral. The big hair, the shoulder pads, and the awkward poses found their way into the hearts of millions of nostalgia lovers. Something about those vintage portraits really captured peoples’ hearts and brought them back to a simpler time. That’s how the idea for Saturday Morning Creative was born. Olivia took the same retro inspiration and adapted it to bring the magic of nostalgic portrait photography to special events.
